Asalamualaikum abang Aqmal!Saya adalah salah seorang peminat abang Aqmal!Memang tak boleh dinafikan bahawa abang Aqmal mempunyai bakat yang besar dalam industri musik tanah air!Sebenarnya,saya ingin sekali bertanya mengenai sebuah lagu yang sangat saya gemari…Saya kurang pasti akan tajuk lagunya.Kalau tak silap saya,lagu ini adalah soundtrack untuk telemovie tempatan iaitu Cinta Hati,lakonan Hasnul Rahmat dan Sharon Ismail.Bolehkah saya tau apa tajuk lagunya dan bolehkah abang Aqmal send lagu itu kepada saya kerana saya tak dapat mencari lagu itu di Youtube.Terima kasih saya ucapkan.Semoga terus berjuang di persada musik tanah air kita.Wasalam:)

reminds me of my musafir days in Europe and Australia … Actually, there is a point why I am asking myself … why must I go all these troubles when I have a family, home and friends back in Singapore.

Kita dah maju .. dan akan terus maju demi perjuangan kita sebagai seorang musafir!

You are right. Singapore has in fact no music industry here. If there is, M Nasir, Ramli Sarip, and countless others would have stayed here.
You have to remember that in Singapore, there are no such thing as actors or actresses. All are employed by MediaCorp. They are subject to rules of employment.
The industry here is so myopic. Take for example, Taufik, his genre, I believe would be Soul and R & B. Unfortunately that is not popular here. Me, I like Jazz and I listen only to Internet radio that plays jazz. Maybe its the constraint of the population.
And what happen to Hardy Mirza, the 1st Asian idol? His genre is R&B.
If you are a Malay, you can only be on Malay shows. Period.
At least a creative Malay have ventured out and is very successful. If he stays here, he would probably be consigned to only design Malay baju kurung. I’m talking about Ashley Isham.
So if you have a talent, don’t just market yourself here. Think broader. If you are comfortable singing English songs go for the world.
Singapore is a tiny red dot that trumpets itself as a giant.
